I am a PhD candidate in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University. I conduct research under Christopher Ré and Kunle Olukotun. I am broadly interested in building the next generation of data processing and data warehousing systems. In particular, I enjoy designing systems where the foundation is a theoretical advancement.

“In computer science you create the world. Within the confines of the computer, you're the creator. You get to ultimately control everything that happens. If you're good enough, you can be God. On a small scale.”
“Nobody should start to undertake a large project. You start with a small trivial project, and you should never expect it to get large...If it doesn't solve some fairly immediate need, it's almost certainly over-designed.”
